Successful EMC Testing for Vehicles Adapted for Disabled Drivers under UN ECE Regulation 10!
Together with Black Forest Testlab OHG, we conducted comprehensive EMC testing for akquitec GmbH uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system for electric steering motors in vehicles adapted for disabled drivers.
The testing covered radiated immunity, rediated emissions, and conducted disturbances to ensure the system operates safely even under challenging conditions. Throughout the testing, the UPS was required to function flawlessly to ensure driver safety.
Akquitec GmbH specializes in modifying steering systems and adjusting steering operational forces for drivers with physical disabilities. Their innovative UPS monitors the vehicle’s onboard voltage and activates a backup battery in the event of a voltage drop to maintain power to the assisted steering motor.
We are pleased to handle the type-approval process under UN ECE Regulation 10 in collaboration with the german type-approval authority Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA), further contributing to the safety and mobility of disabled drivers.
A big thank you to everyone involved for the successful collaboration!
