Brake Testing according to UN ECE Regulation No. 13 for Modified Vehicles 🚐🛑

Within the scope of its activities as a KBA-designated Technical Service, ALEE has successfully conducted brake testing according to UN ECE Regulation No. 13 for Xtremobility Germany GmbH.

The tests were performed by fka GmbH (Aachen), acting as an integral part of the ALEE Technical Service, on the vehicle “Apollo” – a modified Ford Transit featuring all-wheel drive and increased ride height.

The test program covered all relevant requirements of UN ECE R13, including:
– Type 0 test (cold brake performance)
– Type I test (hot brake / fade performance)
– Brake circuit failure tests
– Failure scenarios of ABS and ESP
– Brake power assistance failure
– Evaluation of ABS control behavior
– Tests of the parking brake

The tests were performed and signed by Jörn Lützow, authorized signatory of ALEE, under the responsibility of the designated Technical Service.

Many thanks to fka GmbH and Xtremobility Germany GmbH for the professional and trustful cooperation.

👉 ALEE supports manufacturers and converters in brake testing and type approval of modified and special-purpose vehicles.
