Yesterday, ALEE visited the CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf – the world’s No.1 trade fair for mobile travel – a great opportunity to meet customers, partners and companies from the leisure and special-purpose vehicle industry.
One of our stops was our customer Xtremobility Germany GmbH, where we met founder Thomas Lermer in front of the Apollo, a Ford Transit converted into a 4×4 vehicle.
ALEE provided the complete technical support for the approval of this conversion – from identifying the applicable regulatory requirements and defining the necessary tests and assessments to coordinating the approval process as a whole.
As a KBA-designated Technical Service, we support manufacturers and vehicle converters throughout complex approval projects. Especially in the case of extensive vehicle modifications, several regulatory areas often have to be considered together. This requires not only individual tests, but a coordinated overall technical assessment of the vehicle and the conversion.
The Apollo is a great example of this approach.
It was therefore particularly nice to see the completed vehicle at the show and to discuss the latest developments directly with Thomas.
