Yesterday evening, we successfully completed the 2026 KBA surveillance assessment of ALEE as a Technical Service.
ALEE received its initial designation by the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt in April 2024. Since then, we have continuously expanded our scope and capabilities into a broadly positioned Technical Service.
Today, our designation covers a wide range of vehicle, system and component testing activities, including whole vehicle type approval for several vehicle categories, cybersecurity and software update management systems, as well as activities related to individual vehicle approvals under German national regulations.
At the same time, we have built a network of more than 30 specialised partner laboratories, allowing us to combine a broad technical scope with highly specialised testing capabilities.
The final two days of this year’s surveillance assessment took place at VOLKE Entwicklungsring SE in Wolfsburg, where several test procedures and the associated technical and quality processes were demonstrated in practice.
We were particularly pleased with the very positive feedback from the KBA regarding the technical competence of our authorised signatories who performed the respective demonstrations.
A big thank you to the entire VOLKE team and to all colleagues, authorised signatories and partner laboratories who contributed to the preparation and successful completion of this year’s assessment.
From our first designation in 2024 to a comprehensive Technical Service network today – this development would not have been possible without the commitment and expertise of everyone involved.
