Stefano Mastrogiovanni, Managing Director and Head of Technical Service at ALEE, is participating in the KBA technical meetings in Dresden this week.
The discussions in the technical meeting for test laboratories on EU Vehicle Individual Approval (EUFEG) under Article 44 of Regulation (EU) 2018/858, the Working Group on Technical Affairs, and the KBA experience exchange for test laboratories and certification bodies provide valuable insights into current regulatory developments.
Key topics include the evaluation of Technical Services, the distinction between Scheme I and Scheme II, and evolving requirements for complex vehicle systems such as ADAS, cybersecurity, and software updates.
These exchanges are an important platform for aligning interpretations and ensuring consistent application of EU type-approval legislation across all stakeholders.
