🚛 Advanced Emission Testing at Emitec’s Testcenter Eisenach
As a Technical Service designated by the KBA (German Type Approval Authority), ALEE collaborates with selected partner laboratories to offer a broad range of testing and type approval services.
Our partner laboratory, the Testcenter Eisenach of Emitec Technologies GmbH, performs comprehensive exhaust emission testing – from light-duty vehicles to heavy-duty engines.
In addition to several chassis dynamometers for light vehicles, the laboratory operates engine test benches for assessing the emission behavior of heavy-duty vehicle engines.
A particular highlight is the 72″ four-wheel chassis dynamometer, which enables development and validation testing of trucks, buses, and special-purpose vehicles under real-world conditions.
This test bench features a fully integrated exhaust emission measurement system, including:
🔹 Maximum driving speed: 160 km/h
🔹 Inertia weight simulation: 2,000 – 30,000 kg
🔹 Continuous power: 450 kW (up to 600 kW in dual-axle mode)
🔹 Continuous traction force: 25,000 N
For precise emission measurement, the facility is equipped with:
🔹 HORIBA Mexa-7100 analyzers for CO, CO₂, O₂, HC, NO, NO₂, and CH₄
🔹 Partial flow dilution systems for particle mass determination
