📍 EMC Testing for Individual Vehicle Approval
At the SEGULA Technologies EMC test facility in Rüsselsheim, we recently conducted electromagnetic emissions testing on a TOYOTA LandCruiser on behalf of our customer TD Experience.
The vehicle, not originally intended for the EU market, did not come with a manufacturer’s EMC type approval.
As part of the EMC test according to UN ECE Regulation No. 10, we verified compliance with emission limits.
📘 Under Annex II, Part I, Appendix 2 of Regulation (EU) 2018/858, electromagnetic immunity testing can be waived in the context of individual vehicle approvals according to Article 44 — which was applicable in this case.
💡 In addition to EMC testing, we also check headlamp compliance for low beam as required under UN ECE Regulation No. 149.
This ensures safe integration into EU road traffic, especially for imported vehicles that were not originally built to European specifications.
🔧 This is just one example of how ALEE supports manufacturers, importers, and converters in bringing unique vehicles to the European market.
