Successful Initial Assessment Audit at HWA AG
On May 23rd, our Managing Director Stefano Mastrogiovanni conducted a successful initial assessment audit at HWA AG in Affalterbach, acting as an auditor on behalf of X.CERT GmbH.
Initial assessments are a mandatory requirement under European type-approval regulations. They ensure that manufacturers have robust quality management systems in place to consistently meet regulatory standards and maintain Conformity of Production (CoP) throughout the product lifecycle. This is a crucial step for obtaining and keeping vehicle type approvals from authorities such as the German Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA).
HWA AG is a renowned high-performance company in the automotive sector – a manufacturer, development partner, motorsport specialist, engineering expert, and support provider all in one. With around 300 highly skilled employees, HWA has earned its reputation through a relentless pursuit of perfection and is recognized as one of the most successful players in international motorsports.
The audit is part of the ongoing collaboration between ALEE, a Technical Service designated by the KBA for type-approval testing of vehicles and components, and X.Cert GmbH, a specialized certification body for quality management system assessments in the automotive industry.
